Aberdeen Harbour entrance in around 1979. The image looks north, from Balnagask, to the North Pier and Pocra Quay with the Roundhouse, the Harbour Master's office, at the left of the photograph. The obelisk-like structure on the right of the photo is popularly known as Scarty's Monument, but is in fact a historic ventilation shaft for the sewage system.
