Title
36-40 Schoolhill (upper floors)
Description
A photograph showing the building at 36-40 Schoolhill in around 1986 or 1987. This image is one of a series taken by Aberdeen City Council to record buildings prior to the redevelopment of the area and construction of the Bon Accord shopping centre. This image shows the upper floors of the building on the north side of Schoolhill next to its junction with Harriet Steet (on the left of this photograph). This building still stands to this day. The façade was integrated into the Bon Accord Centre development. In this image, the ground floor is occupied by Hendersons of Schoolhill, a hardware and tools shop. The building is now occupied by a branch of Boots the Chemist.
