Historical photographic print showing Japanese culture most likely taken in the late 19th century. This print is one of eight that features at the end of an album held by Aberdeen City Libraries primarily comprising of George Washington Wilson Co. images of Scotland.

These prints may also be the work of the Aberdeen based photographic company. The original compiler of the leather bound album of prints is unknown, however, so these images of Japan may be unrelated to GWW.

These prints were digitised in response to an enquiry from a Japanese academic interested in old images of Japan held in UK and US libraries and archives.
