Provost John Webster of Edgehill
A portrait of Provost John Webster (1810 - 31st May 1891). He served as Provost of Aberdeen from 1856-1859. He was the son of Alexander Webster, advocate in Aberdeen, and married Margaret Chalmers in 1839. Like his father Webster was a member of the Society of Advocates in Aberdeen. He entered the Town Council in November 1853.
