1st Aberdeenshire Royal Garrison Artillery (Volunteers)
An illustrative plate showing the uniform of the 1st Aberdeenshire Royal Garrison Artillery (Volunteers) from the book Records of the Scottish Volunteer Force, 1859-1908 (1909) by Major-General J. M. Grierson. The uniforms of 1st Berwick R.G.A (V.) and 1st Caithness R.G.A. (V.) are also shown.

Grierson's book gives an account of the brigade on pages 154-158. The 1st Administrative Brigade Aberdeen Artillery Volunteers were formed on 24th October 1860 and various county corps were subsequently attached to it. At the time of the book's publication in 1909, the brigade's headquarters were in North Silver Street, Aberdeen. These had been erected in 1899 at a cost of upwards of £7,000.

The illustration is credited to McLagan & Cumming, Edinburgh.
