Title
Queen's Road (Car Terminus), Aberdeen
Description
Photographic postcard image of Queen's Road, Aberdeen, not far to the east of its junction with Anderson Drive. At the time, this was the end of the tramway route on Queen's Road. Hence the text: "Car Terminus". The postcard comes from a custom set of postcards printed for a J. H. Coutts. He lived at 34 Queen's Road and operated Rubislaw Supply Stores from no. 32. The latter was a former toll house and in more recent times has served as a restaurant and as offices. This postcard is addressed to an F. G. Griffiths in Liverpool, from a woman named Bea, talking about her winter holiday in Scotland and wishing him a good 1922. The card was sent on 28th December 1921 at 2:30 PM, using a King George V two pence stamp.
