Title
Treasures from our Collections - June 2017
Description
The first treasure of this penultimate month is a delightful brochure for the first Aberdeen Dance Festival Week, organised by the Palais de Danse, in 1948. The next treasure is a selection of historic catalogues that were produced to advertise and facilitate the sale of North East estates. We move on to highlight our collection of plans of Aberdeen Harbour, with a particular focus on an interesting document from World War 2 relating to air raid planning. The fourth treasure is a range of items relating to some of Aberdeen's best loved shops. Take a look for a little historical window shopping! The final treasure is a photograph album from the early 20th century that belonged to the family of the great North East magician, Walford Bodie M.D. If you have any questions or comments about the exhibition please use the comment button or get in touch at localstudies@aberdeencity.gov.uk.
