This image is one of a series taken by Aberdeen City Council to record buildings prior to the redevelopment of the area and construction of the Bon Accord shopping centre.

This photo shows the area, primarily used for parking cars at the time, to the rear of the buildings of George Street (located on the right of this image).

Historic maps suggest this area was once the site of a significant stable building.

These buildings shown here were demolished to make way for the Bon Accord Centre.
