This photograph appears to look south from the graving dock on Commercial Road. The dock is shown on the Aberdeenshire LXXV.11 Ordnance Survey 25-inch map published 1902.

The image shows a North Shields based fishing boat called Tynemouth under maintenance. A severely damaged crane attached to the side of the dock is being handled by a number of workers.
