Description
An architectural drawing of John Knox Parish Church from 1910. The church, which has now been turned into flats, replaced an older church building on the same site. As indicated at the bottom of the the image, the building was designed by the Wilsons & Walker architectural practice. Demolition and construction was began in 1910 and completed the following year. Funding for the church was raised by the church congregation. This included holding a bazaar in the Music Hall on 6th, 7th & 8th October 1910. Aberdeen City Libraries hold the souvenir Book of the Bazaar in our Local Studies collection. The architectural drawing featured in this volume along with a large amount of other material including a history of the congregation by Alexander Gammie.
