Prince Philip at the Rowett Institute

Aberdeen City Libraries were recently donated the following photographs of Prince Philip at an official engagement at the Rowett Institute in Bucksburn.

The images show the Duke of Edinburgh delivering a speech, meeting staff, and planting a tree, however we are uncertain when this event took place and if it was to celebrate a particular development.

The institute's third director, Sir Kenneth Lyon Blaxter, is present in some of the images which loosely dates them to his administration of 1965-1982.
