Historic Photographs Details
Beaconsfield Place is situated on the north side of Queen's Road in the west end of the city and takes its name from the 19th century statesman, Benjamin Disraeli, 1st. Earl of Beaconsfield, with Gladstone Place on the south complimenting the street naming. It would appear that 8 Beaconsfield Place acted as an annexe to St. Mary's Roman Catholic School, which was located in Summer Street in the years immediately before and after the First World War. The property itself was designed by James Souttar.
