The event was promoted by the Aberdeen United Trades' Council and held in the Art Gallery and Museum Buildings. It opened to the public on 12 December 1891. This catalogue was printed in Aberdeen by G. Cornwall & Sons (42 to 45 Castle Street). It features a lists of the exhibits and numerous adverts.
