A photographic portrait of Provost James Walker. He served as Provost of Aberdeen between 1903-1905. He entered the Town Council in 1870 and acted as their representative on the Endowments Board for many years. In 1907 Walker was presented with an oil portrait painted by Sir George Reid, R.S.A., in recognition of his extensive public service.
