Upperkirkgate c.1950 prior to demolition in 1953. The building at the extreme right of the photograph is Reid and Pearsons. Behind the lorry were the premises of Charles Allardyce, surgical instrument makers; next door was Joseph Sievwright, watchmaker; then A. B. Hutchison, bakers.
