The Whinhill Road entrance to Duthie Park in the snow. The West Gate Lodge stood at this entrance from 1883, when the park first opened, until 1938 when it had to be removed due to the widening of the Great Southern Road. The lodge was rebuilt at Rubislaw Den South.
